Das Occidental Arts and Ecology Center (OAEC) ist ein Forschungs-, Bildungs- und Demonstrationszentrum mit einer Fläche von 80 acres und liegt im Westen von Sonoma County (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonoma_County), Kalifornien. Es liegt 70 Meilen nördlich von San Francisco.
Geschichte
- Biohof
- 1970er Jahre: Farallones Institute (https://oaec.org/farallones-institute-rural-center-reunion/), Rural Center, "Solar Suburbia" (1974-1990)
- 1994 übernahm eine Gruppe von sieben Freunde das mittlerweile heruntergekommene Land, um dort zu leben und gemeinsam Landwirtschaft zu betreiben.
- Es entstand daraus eine Wohngemeinschaft (Intentional Community).
